Rearrange PDF pages (complete guide)
Rearranging pages changes the order of pages inside a PDF without changing the content of each page. Use it when scans came in the wrong order, when you merged documents but want a different sequence, or when you need to move a signature page to the end. This is typically lossless (no re-render) and safe for document quality.
How page order works
You provide the new order as a comma-separated list. You can mix single pages and ranges. Examples:
3,1,2(move page 3 to the front)10-12,1-9(move the last 3 pages to the front)1,2,4,3,5(swap pages 3 and 4)
Pages start at 1 and refer to the PDF’s internal order (not always printed labels). If you are unsure, check PDF info first.
Suggested workflow
- Check page count with PDF info.
- Rearrange pages using a clear order list.
- Verify the output at the boundaries you changed (where pages moved).
- If any pages are sideways, fix with Rotate PDF.
- If you need to delete blanks/duplicates, use Remove pages.
Privacy & retention
Files are stored temporarily for processing and deleted on scheduled cleanup (typically within 12 hours).
Troubleshooting
- Error: invalid order: make sure you include each page exactly once, and don’t exceed the PDF page count.
